Book Donation Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Friends of the Washougal Library!

We accept book donations year-round to help raise funds for library programs and our goal of building a larger, modern library facility.

What we accept:

  • Adult and children’s books in good to excellent condition
  • DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks in very good to excellent condition
  • Former library books are acceptable

What we cannot accept:

  • Books that are dirty, water-damaged, mildewed, heavily marked or smell of smoke
  • Encyclopedias, dictionaries, magazines or textbooks
  • Cassette or VHS tapes, or sheet music
  • Excessive copies of the same title
  • Outdated travel guides, technology books, or reference materials
  • Advance reader copies

How to donate:

  • Small donations may be placed in the donation box inside the Washougal Library.
  • Large donations should be coordinated in advance by contacting our book sale coordinator:
