November 2024, Washougal High School held a Holiday Bazaar, and the Friends had a table at the event. Thanks to donated little house plants and beautiful ceramic pots from various sources, including a talented Librarian who Made some Pots for us! The Book Sale group provided a great small footprint shelf and some curated Christmas Books, Friends members staffed the booth and handed out information about the new Library site. Our Merch was on display and met with a great reception from attendees.
December 2024 Christmas Parade Downtown Washougal. Hosted by the City of Washougal. The Friends had a Christmas float, thanks to our intrepid Friend and float driver, Glenn Thompson. The Washougal Senior Association art group at the Library provided beautiful sandwich boards that our Friends Volunteers sported as they marched the route, and handed out bookmarks with info about our New Library effort.
